Vanessa, you decided to enter our lives on January 20, 2008 at 4:05 pm, weighing in at 7lbs. 5 oz. and 21" long. Temperature was -12 to -15C without windchill, one of the coldest days yet this winter. Grandpa Allan and I tried to make it but got caught in a freak snowsquall and had icy roads to contend with. When a van in front of us wiped out we had the good sense to take a hotel for the night. We were up bright and early and made it to the hospital around 10:00 am. Daddy was beaming with happiness and except for the fact that mommy was insisting on taking you home NOW, she too was glowing with pride.
